At Eat Alberta 2018: More with Less, we discussed the possibility of expanding the number of events that we host each year. Thanks to some new partnerships, we are excited to present two events this August!
First up, on August 11, the Prairie Farm Project has partnered with us and Chartier Restaurant to host a farm tour and a family-style farm-to-table dinner at RedTail Farms. The meal will be cooked by Chartier's Steven Brochu, using local ingredients from RedTail Farms, Lazy T Farms and Lady's Hat Farm. Local beer and kombucha will also be available, courtesy of Blindman Brewery and Effervescent Tea Kombucha respectively. To secure your invite and for more information, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Come meet your farmer, and discover how delicious supporting local can be.
Then, on August 16, we are partnering with the Young Agrarians for the summer session of the Vibrant Communities Speaker Series, which will focus on holistic management practices in farming. Speaker Ian Griebel of RedTail Farms will also speak about the roles that urban consumers of farm-grown food play in caring for the environment.
The event is free to attend, so head to Eventbrite to register now!
We look forward to seeing you next month at these events!
