Where do I purchase tickets?

How much do tickets cost?

Tickets for Eat Alberta 2015 cost $150 + ticket handling fees.

Can I exchange/refund my tickets?

At this time, we are unable to offer any refunds or exchanges on ticket sales. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

What does my ticket include?

Your ticket to the Eat Alberta includes admission to a total of six sessions: 2 plenary sessions and 4 workshops. Any samples you make in the hands-on sessions are yours to take home. A light continental breakfast, lunch, a glass of wine and some nibbles are also included.

Can I bring my child/baby?

All attendees must be 18 years or older. Absolutely no minors, including infants, are permitted to attend.

Where is the event located?

The event will take place at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), located at 11762 106 Street. We will be using the kitchens and classrooms in and around Ernest’s, but the day will start at the Fresh Express. Look the Eat Alberta signage.

What ETS bus should I take to get to NAIT?

Plan your bus route on Google Maps.

Where can I park my car?

NAIT Parking Lots C and J are the closest to Ernest’s. You can check out the NAIT map here. The fee on weekends is $5.

Is there a dress code in NAIT kitchens? What am I permitted to bring inside the kitchens?

Aprons and/or chefs coats MUST be worn in the NAIT kitchens at all times (you will not be permitted in the kitchens without one). You will need to bring one with you as this is will not be provided. Hairnets are also required in the NAIT kitchens, but will be provided prior to the start of all hands-on classes.

Purses and bags are not permitted in the kitchens. You may only bring an apron/chefs coat, camera/phone, and a notebook and a pen inside the kitchens.

Is there a place for me to hang my coat or leave my purse?

Coats and other personal belongings will be stored in one locked classroom at the start of the day. You may only access it at lunch time when accompanied by a volunteer. Please note that Eat Alberta is not responsible for lost or stolen items. As a result, we advise participants to refrain from bringing purses and/or valuables.

Can I bring my camera?

You are welcome to bring your own camera.

  • A copy of your YEGLive e-ticket (which should contain your schedule)
  • An apron or a chef’s coat

Why is there a photographer taking my picture?

We’ve asked a photographer to help us document the day so we’re able to capture the fun to help remember the Eat Alberta conference.
