The Story Behind the Food
Eat Alberta shares food knowledge and tells the stories behind the people, local ingredients, and techniques to all who yearn to know more. This is our way to connect to our shared home of Alberta.
We are a non-profit association, managed entirely by volunteers. What began as an annual, one day, workshop-style conference, has now grown into an accessible organization built to help you learn about Alberta's food through a mix of small events, classes, multimedia content, and our annual flagship event.
Our goal is to bring people together with farmers, chefs, winemakers, foragers, bakers, and beekeepers to learn about what is produced in our province, how to prepare it, what it tastes like, and the people it comes from. Past attendees have always expressed that the variety of sessions, quality of teaching, and exposure to local food heroes is second to none. Now, we want to bring that to you on a more frequent basis, keeping you up to date on Alberta food 365 days a year.
